Battle of Waterloo 18-06-1815
Battle of Waterloo / Hanover / Brunswick
The Napoleonic Army After Napoleon had come back from Elba, the army he raised was furnished with new flags which were in some points different from the patterns flewn in former years and generally of a more simple production.
A thanks for friendly support in case of research goes to Alfred Umhey. British Army Each
regiment flew 1 Union Jack with regimental cyphers ("King´s
Colour") and 1 Regimental Colour, generally in the basic colour
of the regiment´s facings. The Foot Guards colours followed
own rules, each company had one of its own and they were carried in
rotation. Cords and tassels were mixed golden and red, the poles were brown or blackened.
